Continental
Ingredients:
1 - Package Pillsbury One Layer Size Yellow Batter Cake
Mix
1 - Bag of chopped walnuts
Butter Filling
1 1/2 cups confectioner's suger
1/2 cup butter, softened
Raspberry Filling
1/4 cup sugaar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 package (10 oz.) frozen raspberries, thawed, undrained
Whipped Cream Topping
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons sugar
Directions:
Prepare and bake cake mix in 8- or 9-inch round layer or
square pan as directed on package. Cool thoroughly. Cut
in half horizontally with a very sharp knife to make two
layers. Place bottom layer on serving plate. Spread with
Butter Filling, then Raspberry Filling. Top with other layer
of cake, then Whipped Cream Topping. Sprinkle with chopped
walnuts. Chill several hours or overnight.
Butter Filling: In small mixer bowl, gradually
add confectioner's sugar to butter; cream well.
Raspberry Filling: In small saucepan, combine
sugar and cornstarch. Add raspberries. Cook over medium
heat, stirring constantly, until thick and clear. Cool completely.
Whipped Cream Topping: Beat cream until thick.
Blend in sugar.
Yield: 9 Servings
